He soon finds that the complexities of such a venture far outstrip the expected differences in language, customs and manners - and calls into questions even the most basic assumptions of human conduct.

The producers of CHINGLISH, the new comedy by Tony Award-winning and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly) are pleased to announce that Hwang, OBIE-Award winning director Leigh Silverman and cast members Jennifer Lim and Gary Wilmes will be making an appearance at Washington Post Live's Global China Summit in Washington D.C. on Tuesday, September 27th.

The play will run at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street) making its Broadway premiere following its world premiere production at Goodman Theatre in Chicago this summer.

Tisa Chang, Artistic Producing Director of Pan Asian Repertory Theatre continues its 33rd season with CHING CHONG CHINAMAN, a satirical new comedy by Lauren Yee directed by May Adrales. The limited engagement runs April 11, 2010 at the West End Theatre. Recently, Mayor David Dinkins and his wife Joyce took in a production, and visited the cast backstage.
