Tony Award winner BD Wong and videographer Richert Schnorr are re-conceiving the theatrical song cycle Songs from an Unmade Bed as a collection of music videos, reflecting life during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Theater J's 2019 Annual Benefit Performance is an unforgettable evening of musical theater at the newly renovated Edlavitch DCJCC on November 18 at 6:30 PM. The centerpiece of the event, which also includes food, drink, and socializing, is a special musical performance of After Anatevka: a Novel Based on a?oeFiddler on the Roofa?? written and performed by Grammy-nominated artist and author Alexandra Silber. Silber, who has appeared in Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway (directed by Bartlett Sher) and the West End, imagines what happens to Sholem Alecheim's beloved characters of Fiddler on the Roof after they step off stage. The performance features new songs composed by some of the top rising talent in musical theater today and sung by the gifted Silber, who recently played Sally Bowles in Cabaret at Olney Theatre Center.

Theatre Communications Group has announced that its 2019 Gala will be directed by Tony Award-winner Michael Mayer and feature performances from Oklahoma!'s Ali Stroker, Hadestown's Patrick Page and Eva Noblezada, and Angels in America's Beth Malone.

Bristol Riverside Theatre ends its mainstage season triumphantly with the farcical period-piece musical Triumph of Love, based on the play by Marivaux, with book by James Magruder, music by Jeffrey Stock, and lyrics by Susan Birkenhead on May 1-20. Directed by Keith Baker, music directed by Douglass Lutz, and choreographed by Stephen Casey, the ensemble cast features Jake Delaney, Joy Franz, Adam Hoyak, Alex Keiper, Rebecca Robbins, Danny Rutigliano, and Carl Wallnau.

Bristol Riverside Theatre moves into its third decade with a jam-packed season of three musicals, a heartwarming comedy and a contemporary drama. 

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Interim Executive Director; David McCoy, Chairman of the Board), dedicated to the development of new musicals and the preservation of musical gems from the past, as part of its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series, will present the staged readings of two new musicals:  Dutch Master, with music and lyrics by Jeffrey Stock (Triumph of Love), and book by Marc Acito (Allegiance), and The White Witch of Rosehall, with music by Balint Varga (Houdini the Musical), and book and lyrics by Bryan D. The event will be live-streamed, free-of-charge, and available for 24-hours at lincolncenter.org/lc-live.
