Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will celebrate Black History Month with the rarely produced HALLELUJAH, BABY!. Tickets are now on sale for the desert's most anticipated annual star-studded concert event, Michael Childer's 'One Night Only', benefiting Jewish Family Services Of The Desert (JFS), to be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 at The McCallum Theatre. This season's theme is 'Hello Jerry' and Michael and cast pay tribute to the incomparable composer Jerry Herman, bringing to the stage music form his popular musicals including Mame, Mack and Mabel, Grand Tour, La Cage Aux Folles and, of course, Hello Dolly.

For the final year SDMT brings Irving Berlin's White Christmas to the historic Spreckels Theatre, with book by David Ives and Paul Blake, directed by Todd Nielsen. White Christmas runs November 25th- December 4th with press opening today, November 25th. SDMT will also present the World Premiere of Miracle on 34th Street: A Live Musical Radio Play directed by Colleen Kollar Smith, adapted by Lance Arthur Smith, with original music by Jon Lorenz. Miracle on 34th Street runs December 1st - 23rd at the Horton Grand Theatre, with press opening on Thursday, December 8th.

On Sun, July 10, 2016, Chris Isaacson Presents the 4th annual Broadway Under the Stars celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the Tony Award-winning musical, Dreamgirls --- a complete sellout at the newly remodeled Ford Theatres in Hollywood, CA. 

Perez Hilton has been set to host Broadway Under the Stars - Celebrating the 35th Anniversary of 'Dreamgirls' - on Sunday, July 10 at 8pm at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre.

The Southland Theatre Artists Goodwill Event (S.T.A.G.E.) Benefit titled Sondheim 5, took place June 18th at Beverly Hills' beautiful Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in benefit of AIDS Project Los Angeles.  The much anticipated event, was once again directed by David Galligan.  Michael Orland served as Musical Director, with Choreography by Lee Martino; and BroadwayWorld TV's own Michael Sterling was on hand to talk to the stars just prior to their first of two performances.

This new musical features lyrics by Al Dubin, music mostly by Harry Warren, book by Jerry Leichtling and Arlene Sarner, and musical direction by Gerald Sternbach. More than 100 local and national theatre artists representing nearly than 60 San Diego theatrical productions will compete for the 2015 Craig Noel Awards, the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle announced today.

San Diego Musical Theatre presents the final production of its 2015 season, IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS, running now through December 6, 2015 (press opening on Friday, November 27) at the Spreckels Theatre. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
