Williamstown Theatre Festival announced today that the 2021 WTF Gala will take place virtually on Wednesday, April 7. The Gala will start at 7:30 PM ET, preceded by an interactive VIP pre-show for event sponsors and virtual table buyers, and will feature musical performances and special appearances from beloved friends of the Festival.

The Country Music Association will honor Conway Entertainment Group/Ontourage Management founder/owner Tony Conway with its 2019 CMA Touring Lifetime Achievement Award. Conway received the news during last week's CMA Board of Directors meeting in Nashville, where he received a standing ovation from Board members and CMA staff.  

Williamstown Theatre Festival (Mandy Greenfield, Artistic Director) announced that the 2020 WTF Gala in New York City honoring Bo & Katherine Peabody will be held at Tao Downtown in New York City on Monday, February 10, 2020, and feature special appearances by Tony Award winner Laura Benanti (My Fair Lady, She Loves Me, Gypsy), Joshua Boone (Network, WTF's Artney Jackson, Actually, and Where Storms are Born), Tony Award nominee Ashley Park (WTF's Grand Horizons, Mean Girls, The King and I), and Kyle MacLachlan (a?oeTwin Peaksa??, a?oePortlandiaa??, a?oeDesperate Housewivesa??), among many others to be announced at a later date.

The Country Music Association has announced the nominees for the 2019 CMA Touring Awards, which highlight vital behind-the-scenes members of the touring industry. Final voting for the 2019 CMA Touring Awards opens Thursday, Nov. 7 and closes Wednesday, Nov. 20. This year's Touring Awards will take place Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Nashville's Marathon Music Works.

Multi-Platinum entertainer Chris Young adds to his impressive resume today as he makes his directorial debut with the music video for his newest hit, “Drowning.” Co-directed with Native 31 Films Producer and Director Jeff Johnson, the stirring clip opens with Young holding a photo of Adam Carnes, his longtime friend whose loss is memorialized in the song's “soul-shattering lyrics” (People). Five-time Grammy Award-nominated vocalist/pianist Karrin Allyson will make her Feinstein's at the Nikko debut on Friday, August 23 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, August 24 (8 p.m.). Joined by Miro Sprague and Jeff Johnson, the trio will perform original songs from Karrin's new album, "Some of That Sunshine," as well as many other classic jazz standards, Bossa Nova, French chansons, and, of course, the blues.

ACM and Grammy nominated vocalist Chris Young played his first-ever headlining concert at Music City's most massive indoor music venue, Bridgestone Arena, over the weekend, performing until after 11pm for a screaming, sold-out hometown crowd whose cheering reached 116 decibels throughout the more than 90 minute show. It was an unforgettable night for the Murfreesboro, Tennessee native who celebrated his 33rd sold-out show of the “Chris Young Losing Sleep 2018 World Tour” in an arena packed to the rafters with nearly 14,000 fans, friends and family.

Multi-platinum entertainer Chris Young resumed his “Losing Sleep 2018 World Tour” in Texas last week, extending his sold-out show streak to 20 consecutive arena and amphitheater dates, including stops in Corpus Christi and Hidalgo. The Texas-sized shows, which featured special guests Kane Brown and Morgan Evans, mark the tour's seventh straight week playing to capacity crowds.
