Disney Branded Television has begun production in Los Angeles on 'Meet the Mayhems,' an original live-action comedy series about a family of raucous supervillains who recently ran afoul of the League of Villains and now must somehow beat a path to normalcy in a small Texas town.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the nominees for the 47th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards, which will be presented in a two-hour special on Friday, June 26 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Disney Channel has ordered a second season of 'Amphibia,' a frog-out-of-water animated comedy series, ahead of its debut on MONDAY, JUNE 17 (10:00-10:30 a.m. EDT/PDT), on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. Leaping into the fantastical world of 'Amphibia,' the series chronicles the adventures of independent and fearless teen Anne Boonchuy (voiced by Brenda Song) after she is magically transported to a rural marshland full of frog people and meets the excitable young frog Sprig Plantar and his family. Created and executive produced by Annie Award-winner Matt Braly ('Gravity Falls'), the series is inspired by his heritage, family and childhood trips to Bangkok, Thailand.

“General Hospital”'s infamous Nurses Ball returns to Port Charles, Friday, May 17 on ABC. Devilish Theatrical in association with Theatre of Arts has announced the world premiere of The Devil You Know-A Rhythm & Blues Story, a new musical with book by David Carey Foster & Larry Poindexter, and music & lyrics by Poindexter. Directed by Darin Anthony with musical direction by Brad Ellis, the cast will feature (in alphabetical order) Trevon Davis, Julia Harriman, Gildart Jackson, Harrison Killian-White, Alexis Krause, Braxton Molinaro, Larry Poindexter, Niles Rivers, Sasha Sloan, James Patrick Stuart, and Bill Watterson. The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center will present a special, encore performance of the smash hit Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays. The Center's Renberg Theatre will join theaters across the nation on the same evening to showcase this outstanding collection of short plays in support of the ongoing movement for the freedom to marry for same-sex couples. The one-night-only engagement will take place Monday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.

-Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) returns as the title characters' sinister nemesis, Dr. Blowhole, in Nickelodeon's brand-new Penguins of Madagascar special, 'Blowhole Strikes Back,' premiering Friday, Sept. 9, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The hour-long special features Harris performing in four original musical numbers, two of which he is singing alongside The Penguins of Madagascar characters. The series recently garnered six Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Children's Animated Program, Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program (Danny Jacobs) and Outstanding Writing in Animation. Year to date, The Penguins of Madagascar ranks as one of the top five animated series on all TV with kids 2-11.
