The Film Society of Lincoln Center announces the complete details for the Convergence section of the 54th New York Film Festival, which will take place October 1-4.

The Des Moines Community Playhouse held the 2016 Dionysos Awards on Sunday, July 24. The theatre honored 15 backstage, front-of-house, and education volunteers, and announced eight acting award winners. The evening was bookended by musical performances from the Performance Academy cast of 'Disney's Camp Rock,' with public performances Aug. 5-6, and the cast of 'Rock of Ages,' on stage now through Aug. 7.

All contestants ranged in age from 55 and up with the oldest contestant Nick Pietroforte, age 86. Accompanist for the program was maestro par excellence Ron Snyder.

History comes to vivid life this weekend as The Andersonville Trial opens at the Apollo Civic Theater in Martinsburg, WV.
