The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Andrew Levine, Executive Director), and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series, will present a staged reading of the new musical Carmilla, with book & lyrics by Joel Gross, and music & lyrics by Paul Aleman at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

The Frist Center for the Visual Arts will open The Birth of Impressionism: Masterpieces from the Musée d'Orsay Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, and the exhibition will remain on view in Nashville through Jan. 23, 2011, when the works in the show return to Paris.

Advance timed tickets for The Birth of Impressionism: Masterpieces from the Musée d'Orsay, opening Oct. 15, 2010, at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, are now on sale at www.fristcenter.org (additional charges apply), through the advance ticket call center (866-683-4978) and on site at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in downtown Nashville. Tickets to The Birth of Impressionism also include admission to Chihuly at the Frist.
