ONCE, an acclaimed new musical based on the 2007 Academy Award-winning film, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for $26.50 orchestra seating. The production will begin previews on Tuesday, February 28 and open Sunday, March 18 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street).

MASTERWORKS BROADWAY releases the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Once: A New Musical. Produced by Steve Epstein and Martin Lowe, the album will be available on March 13, 2012. The production features the Academy Award-winning music and lyrics of Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, a book by award-winning Irish playwright & screenwriter, Enda Walsh (Penelope, Hunger, The New Electric Ballroom), direction by the acclaimed Scottish director of Black Watch, John Tiffany, movement by Steven Hoggett (Black Watch, American Idiot) and musical direction by Martin Lowe (Mamma Mia!). The set and costume design are by five time Tony Award winner Bob Crowley (The Coast of Utopia, Mary Poppins), lighting design is by Tony winner Natasha Katz (Aida, The Coast of Utopia), and sound design is by Clive Goodwin. Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that the new musical Once, inspired by Dublin street performers and a stage adaptation of the eponymous film, may make it's Broadway debut in February of 2012. The musical recently received a workshop at the American Repertory Theatre in Boston and will be given a full production at the New York Theatre Workshop in December.
