The Morris Museum will launch its new Inside Cinema Film Series on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 10:00AM in the Bickford Theatre. During this season, this film series will focus on film Noir, and will be hosted monthly by David Landau, a professor of film at Fairleigh Dickinson University.  For each screening there will be a discussion with David before the film to provide further insights.

The Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation (WRMPPF), the operating organization for the Will Rogers Institute, announced today that actress Denise Richards has joined their longtime summer theatrical PSA campaign. The fundraising campaign, which plays in movie theaters nationwide, is a time-honored tradition that began in 1936 and featured James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart, and Bette Davis in the first public service announcement.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood (WBSTH) announced a new addition to the Studio Tour in celebration of Warner Bros.' 95th Anniversary. Beginning May 4, 2018, the Classics Made Here tour and exhibit will take guests back to Hollywood's Golden Age with a tour focused on award-winning titles that have shot on the iconic Warner Bros. Studios backlot throughout the ages. Each tour is led by a specially trained guide, whose passion for TV and filmmaking includes extensive knowledge of Warner Bros.' classic library titles ranging from Casablanca, My Fair Lady, Rebel Without a Cause and TV shows such as Maverick, The Waltons and Batman plus many more. Sarasota Opera is pleased to announce the line-up for the 2018 season of 'HD at the Opera House' and "Classic Movies at the Opera House".  This weekly series of filmed performances has allowed Sarasota Opera to expand its programming from the fall and winter season to year-around. The 2018 "HD at the Opera House" series will open on Sunday, May 20th and run through September 30th and will include presentations of Ballet and Theater from some of the world's most famous venues and companies including the Royal Opera House; Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Royal Shakespeare Company; Vienna State Opera; and the Royal Ballet. Each presentation will begin at 1:30pm.

The Old Globe will present a free, one-night-only event to celebrate the debut of a new book by legendary Globe Associate Artist Marion Ross  titled My Days Happy and Otherwise. This evening of storytelling with Ms. Ross and Associate Artistic Director Eric Keen-Louie will take place on Monday, April 16, at 7:00 p.m., on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage of the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.
