Each Edinburgh Fringe there are one or two shows that get it all right. They go beyond mere theatre into something with much greater value and significance. Hot Brown Honey is one such show. From the creative team behind Australian cabaret sensation Briefs, comes an all-female dynamic variety show. Ariel work, dance, poetry and song all explore the story of what is means and feels to be a woman of colour in todays society.

Hot Brown Honey has been cooking up a storm. This Summer, the heat goes up a notch as the show on everyone's lips is served up at The Edinburgh Fringe. Piping hot, complete with lashings of sass and a scorching pinch of empowerment, this dish is seriously hot! Teaming up with the infamous Briefs Factory, these Honeys fly straight from Sydney Opera House in a bid to blow the roof off Assembly Roxy and leave Roxburgh Place smouldering. The Hive is buzzing with the arrival of Hot Brown Honey! 

Combining dance, poetry, comedy, circus, striptease and song, this acclaimed Australian production has in the last year shocked and delighted audiences at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Brisbane Festival.

Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company (Producing Artistic Director Joseph W. Rodriguez) presents Tennessee Williams 1982, an evening of two, little known, one-act plays by Tennessee Williams, both completed in 1982, the year before the playwrights death. Directed by Cosmin Chivu (2013 revival of Tennessee Williams' The Mutilated), Tennessee Williams 1982 features the world premiere of A Recluse and His Guest and New York Premiere of The Remarkable Rooming-House of Mme. Le Monde. These two chamber pieces epitomize the theatrical imagination the playwright employed throughout his long writing career combined with the freedom he found later in life. Crisply written black comedies, these fierce plays center on the demands of unlikely human relationships in exotic locales fraught with tension.

Philpott is an award-winning playwright in Australia whose plays have been extensively developed at American theaters including San Francisco's ACT, Crowded Fire Theater and the Magic.
