WaterAid is hosting a star-studded virtual 'Christmas Get Together' on Tuesday 8 December from 6.30pm, bringing seasonal songs, festive readings and special performances to people's homes to raise money for the charity's Future on Tap appeal.

Tennessee Shakespeare Company Founder and Producing Artistic Director Dan McCleary plays the most popular writer of the 19th Century on stage in the theatre's next Dr. Greta McCormick Coger Literary Salon, A Christmas Carol: Charles Dickens' Dramatic Premier Reading in Boston. 

Tennessee Shakespeare Company continues its Dr. Greta McCormick Coger Literary Salon Series on Sunday, November 22 with a celebration of gratitude for the season as described by its masterful literary caretaker.

History At PlayTM, LLC has garnered nationwide attention for their one-woman living history performances, chronicling the lives of legendary women who changed society. In Victorian Gossip Girl: Annie Adams Fields, the Boston author, philanthropist, and original Gossip Girl dishes on the lives of her closest literary friends! 

11-27 October, Pontine Theatre's co-directors, Greg Gathers & Marguerite Mathews, bring their unique approach to literary adaptation to Nathaniel Hawthorne's 1851 Gothic Romance, The House of the Seven Gables. Performances are Fridays at 7pm, Saturdays at 3pm and Sundays at 2pm.

'Icons of New York' is a street photography workshop scheduled for October 12, 2019 presented by Xiomaro, a nationally exhibited artist and published author. The workshop, limited to only six participants, is a spinoff from the larger and more basic classes he teaches at Weir Farm National Historic Site in Wilton/Ridgefield.

Announcing the world premiere of the The Nature Plays , the first series of site-specific short plays by Mount Auburn Cemetery's Playwright Artist-in-Residence, Patrick Gabridge. The Nature Plays run from May 30-June 9, 2019 at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mt. Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA.

Announcing the world premiere of the Mount Auburn Plays, two series of site-specific plays created by Mount Auburn Cemetery's first Playwright Artist-in-Residence, Patrick Gabridge. Over the past two years Gabridge, an award-winning Boston playwright, has researched the stunning landscape and history of America's first garden Cemetery and 175-acre arboretum in the heart of Cambridge, MA, culminating in 10 brand new short plays to premiere as two sets of 5 unique plays each: The Nature Plays premiere June 1-9, 2019, highlighting the rich natural environment of Mount Auburn, and The America Plays premiere September 14-22, 2019, bringing to life just a few of the historic personalities resting eternally on the grounds and whose vision still resonate strongly in our American culture today. Each series will have 8 performances over the course of two weekends. Presented in partnership with Plays in Place.

The new musical EVANGELINE, A CURIOUS JOURNEY will have an industry presentation on Friday, March 23 at 2PM at The Davenport Theatre (354 West 45th Street between 8th and 8th Avenues.)   

Pontine Theatre presents its original staging of  The Story of a Bad Boy by Thomas Bailey Aldrich.  This classic story of a boy's adventures takes place in the semi-fictional town of Rivermouth (Portsmouth NH).  The production is underwritten by Optima Bank & Trust.  Performances take place  at Strawbery Banke Museum (14 Hancock Street) on Friday March 31 @7pm, Saturday April 1 & 8 @4pm, and Sunday April 2 & 9 @2pm. Tickets ($24) may be purchased online at www.pontine.org. Tickets may also be purchased at the door a half-hour prior to each show, based on availability.  With an innovative use of puppetry and projected images, Pontine Co-Artistic Directors, Greg Gathers and Marguerite Mathews, tell the autobiographical story of a lively boy and his companions in mid-19th century Portsmouth, where Aldrich was sent to live under the watchful eyes of his grandfather. Aldrich's boyhood home, now part of Strawbery Banke Museum, will be open to audience members following each performance.  

Having turned 100 years old, the National Park Service inaugurates its second century with a fine art photographic exhibit at Harvard's Fruitlands Museum titled 'Find Your Park: National Parks in New England,' which includes several large-scale photographs by New York artist Xiomaro. The group display is open now through March 19, 2017.

At this most beautiful season of the year, music connects us to feelings of hope and joy and an appreciation of the miraculous.  The Chorale translates those feelings into song accompanied by brass, percussion, and two of the mightiest organs in the Valley.  Continuing with our exploration of the music of Ireland and the British Isles, we sing many pieces steeped in this tradition.  Musical styles range from medieval to contemporary, offering lush melodies - familiar and new, with beautiful lyrics presented by a rich blend of 60 voices.

Write Out Loud - an organization founded in 2007 with a commitment to inspire, challenge and entertain by reading short stories aloud for a live audience - announces VOICES OF CHRISTMAS the third production in their 10th Anniversary Season.

Actors Co-op (Ovation Award-Winner 2014 Best Intimate Theatre Musical for 110 in the Shade) presents the second show in its celebratory 25th Silver Anniversary season with the frightfully delightful THE TURN OF THE SCREW by Jeffrey Hatcher from the classic story by Henry James and directed by Robertson Dean (Antigone - A Noise Within).  THE TURN OF THE SCREW previewed on Wednesday, October 12 and Thursday, October 13 at 8pm and opened on Friday, October 14 at 8pm; it runs through Sunday, November 20 at the Actors Co-op Crossley Theatre, 1760 N. Gower St. (on the campus of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood) in Hollywood.
