OBIE award-winning The Fire This Time Festival  (TFTT) announces today its 10th anniversary festival dates and the lineup of featured playwrights who comprise the centerpiece of the annual 10-minute play program and select readings of new full-length plays.

Pulse Films and Paramount Television have announced today a deal to option the rights to journalist Dan Hancox's acclaimed non-fiction book Inner City Pressure for Television. The project is set to be produced by Pulse Films' Thomas Benski, Lucas Ochoa and Sam Bridger. HarperCollins published the book in May of this year.

LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) present the final productions of its graduating MA students. Six upcoming directors will present a season of six plays from 23 August to 7 September, showcasing the work of students on the MA Directing course. MA Classical Acting graduates will perform the Shakespeare Season, running from 14 to 19 September.

Focus Features has released the new trailer for 7 Days in Entebbe, starring Daniel Br hl, Rosamund Pike, Eddie Marsan, Ben Schnetzer, Lior Ashkenazi , and Denis M nochet. The film is directed by Jos Padilha and based on a script by Gregory Burke.

The McKittrick Hotel and The National Theatre of Scotland announced today that their critically acclaimed production of The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart, a transporting, music-filled folk theater fable, created by writer David Greig and director Wils Wilson, has been extended for a third and final time by popular demand. A Red Orchid Theatre continues 2016- 2017 Season with the Chicago premiere of The Nether, written by Jennifer Haley,directed by Ensemble Member Karen Kessler. The Nether features Ensemble Members Guy Van Swearingen and Doug Vickers with Maya Hlava, Ashley Neal and Steve Schine. The production runs January 26 - March 12, 2017, at A Red Orchid Theatre, 1531 N. Wells. Press Opening is January 30, 2017 at 7 p.m.

The pieces are at various stages of development and audience input is being sought by the artists as part of their development process.
