The daring PUBLIQuartet, winner of the Concert Artists Guild Sylvia Ann Hewlett Adventurous Artist Prize and a CAG New Music/New Places Ensemble will appear with pianist and SubCulture composer-in-residence Gregg Kallor in concert at SubCulture on Monday evening, November 3, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. (Doors open at 6:30 p.m.) The complete program follows:

Concert Artists Guild, whose stellar roster of artists demonstrates a high level of musicianship, virtuosity, and adventurousness, will present its ongoing Winners Series at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall as well as series at SubCulture and Barbes as part of its New Music/New Places program.

Marc and Steven Kaplan, co-founders of SubCulture, announce their 2014-2015 programming for the downtown performing arts venue. Touted by The New Yorker as having a 'strong curatorial hand,' SubCulture's founders enter their second year with a dynamic array of new series, multi-concert residencies, creative partnerships, and a program championing emerging composers.

Composer/Pianist Kallor's new music video, 'Broken Sentences,' directed by Alan McIntyre Smith, is a journey through New York City set to the second movement of Kallor's suite A Single Noon.

Kallor, joined by guest musicians, will perform some of his latest music including "Short Stories" for violin and piano; the world premiere of Undercurrent, a new piece for cello and piano; and several pieces for piano, violin, cello, and clarinet. In addition, Kallor will perform excerpts from his nine-movement solo piano suite, "A Single Noon" - a musical tableau of life in New York City, told through composition and improvisation - that was premiered at Carnegie Hall in 2011.

After successful performances in New Orleans and New York's Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, pianist/composer Gregg Kallor announces his upcoming engagements.
