PRAYERS OF A SAINT, a dramatic short film written and directed by Santho Goonewardene, will be featured in the 15th Annual LA Femme International Film Festival on Saturday, October 19th at 2PM, 2019 at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. The film is also entered into competition at the 10th Annual Oaxaca FilmFest in Oaxaca, Mexico, Oct. 7, 2019 and the Official Latino Film and Arts Festival in Palm Desert, California on Nov. 1, 2019.

OUT is a one-man play set in Montreal in 1977, at the height of the disco era. Glen is 17 years-old and decides to kick open the closet door. While keeping it secret from his parents, he celebrates his new gay identity by going to discos, joining a Gay Youth Group, and investigating several bedrooms. With his two best friends, he goes to New York City for the Gay Pride March, where their lives are changed forever. Under the highly inventive direction of Clinton Walker; this is a tour tour-de-force performance by Dora-nominated actor Greg Campbell who brings twenty-five characters to life in this hilariously moving story.

Two-time GRAMMY Award winner John Hampton, a legendary producer and engineer, died on Friday, December 12, from complications from cancer. He was 61. The Recording Academy released the following statement on his passing.

The 2012 Dora Mavor Moore Awards took place this past Monday night, honouring the best of the best of the past year in Toronto theatre. The Festival welcomes avant-garde Toronto theatre company VideoCabaret's spectacular production The War of 1812 (The History of the Village of the Small Huts: 1812-1815) as part of its 60th season.
