What did our critic think of SUMMER, THE DONNA SUMMER MUSICAL at The Gateway? Bellport's beautiful Gateway Playhouse certainly has another hit on their hands with their current offering of Summer, The Donna Summer Musical. The energetic production of the Tony nominated musical runs through July 16th and is wonderfully directed by Jenny LaRoche. You will definitely find yourself dancing in your seats as encouraged by the wonderful people who brilliantly portray the music icon.

SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical begins rehearsals and will run at The Gateway Playhouse from June 16 – July 16, 2023, to continue the 74th season.

In attendance were former Broadway Matildas Bailey Ryon, Milly Shapiro, Oona Laurence, Sophia Gennusa, Gabriella Pizzolo, Alexandra Vlachos, Ava Briglia, Ava Ulloa, Aviva Winick, Brooklyn Shuck, Eliza Madore, Fina Strazza, Mattea Conforti and Mimi Clark-Ryder. Members of Paper Mill Playhouse's competitive Conservatory are directed and choreographed by Paper Mill Playhouse’s professional artistic staff in a fully produced, original concert titled A Whole New World: A Tribute to Alan Menken. The concert features over 90 talented young performers, on July 29 at 7:30 PM and July 30 at 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

Featuring music and lyrics by Emmy-winning composer Sean P. Pallatroni with book by Emmy-winner Mark Mazzarella and Darren Butler, the new musical 'Out Of The Blue' will have two industry readings.

Broadway Workshop - LIVE at SONY HALL will take place at the famed Sony Hall (235 West 46th Street, New York, New York 10036) on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 7PM and will feature songs from stage and screen in an over-the-top musical concert with all proceeds benefiting Project Broadway.

The Audio Publishers Association (APA) have announced finalists for the 2022 Audie Awards. Finalists include Cynthia Erivo for Best Female Narrator and Lin-Manuel Miranda for Best Male Narrator.
