Open Stage of Harrisburg, the capital area's professional regional theatre will present its 2010 Flying Solo Festival from June 3 to 26. A month long festival of theatre, Flying Solo features a cavalcade of solo performances including playwright and performer Dorea Schmidt, Sirius/XM radio host Seth Rudetsky, stand-up comedian Jennifer Blaine, and YouTube sensation Miranda Sings.

InterAct Theatre Company continues its long-time relationship with Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-nominated playwright, Lee Blessing, by producing the World Premiere his latest drama, WHEN WE GO UPON THE SEA. The production, which began performances Friday, April 9, has its official Opening Night tonight, April 14, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. WHEN WE GO UPON THE SEA takes aim at an American populace that has grown strikingly complacent in the wake of extraordinary global challenges, exposing one of the world's most intriguing and influential conflicts: the battle between the elected leader of the free world and a democracy of millions.

Following a successful weeklong run at the Etcetera Theatre, Nomads of Bazar are transferring Jean Genet's classic, The Maids, to the Greenwich Playhouse. The play was last performed in Greenwich* in 1974 and starred Glenda Jackson, Susannah York and Vivien Merchant, who all went on to act in the successful film of the same name.
