In his new book, author Don Barnhart uses a humorous yet tender approach to bring awareness to the increased number of homeless veterans and the epidemic proportions of veteran's suicide. Rock Bottom explores the painfully funny downward spiral that happens when one's dreams don't work out according to plan.

By popular demand, Steppenwolf Theatre Company will host a second conversation with co-founder Gary Sinise on Monday, February 18 at 9pm, following the sold out 7pm discussion. During the event Sinise and fellow co-founder Jeff Perry will discuss Sinise's new book Grateful American: A Journey from Self to Service in a candid conversation. A copy of the book is included in the ticket cost. The late-night event will take place in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre, 1650 N Halsted, on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 9pm. Pearce Bunting delivers a visceral gut punch as Lyndon B. Johnson in THE GREAT SOCIETY. Rarely in 50 years of serious theater going have I seen a more fully inhabited physical performance. It's masterful. Menacing and charming by turns, Bunting channels LBJ's ability to manipulate people into positions they didn't originally intend. The arc he travels is long: beginning brash and aggressive, we see him move incrementally into weariness and eventually descend to emotional exhaustion. And all of it is credible.

Comedian, filmmaker and author Don Barnhart will be teaching his 25th standup comedy workshop in Las Vegas. Barnhart is the founder of the Las Vegas Comedy Institute dedicated to helping those interested in pursuing a career in comedy a place to gather, study and pursue their dream.
