Today on Leading Ladies is special guest: Broadway veteran, Janelle Robinson. For the past ten years, Janelle Anne Robinson has enjoyed an ongoing professional career on the operatic and musical theater stage. She has performed in France and Japan, and also toured extensively within the United States. Janelle has also been honored with several awards, including The Richard Tucker Study Grant and the MacAllister Award. 

A showcase of the musical Poupelle of Chimney Town, based on one of the best-selling picture books in Japan with 420,000 copies sold, will be streamed online for two days on September 19 and 20, 2020.

The acclaimed Opus Two violin-piano duo returns to Feinstein's/54 Below for an unforgettable 90th birthday tribute to Stephen Sondheim featuring the New York premiere of A Little Night Music: Suite for Violin and Piano and Bernstein's Four Moments from Candide, both arranged by veteran Broadway director Eric Stern, and Somewhere from West Side Story, arr. Raimundo Penaforte. Special guest Broadway vocalist Elena Shaddow will join the duo in Two House Songs: My House, from Peter Pan and Take Care of this House, from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and Sondheim's I Remember, from Evening Primrose, also arranged by Stern. Eric Stern, who will host the evening, is a Broadway conductor, arranger, and music supervisor with 19 Broadway musicals to his credit. Darius de Haas (Shuffle Along, Rent, Children of Eden) is looking very animated lately, especially as presented in a new cartoonified recording session video of "Real Thing," released today, Friday, March 29, as a single from the album "All the Possibilities: Broadway Sings Wartofsky" on Yellow Sound Label.

With lead vocals by a dozen Broadway stars, Yellow Sound Label has announced the release of the debut album of eleven original songs by award-winning songwriter and Berklee College of Music Professor Michael Wartofsky, in digital, streaming and physical formats, today, Friday, January 4.
