The League of Professional Theatre Women has launched a chapter in Connecticut.

Three productions inspired by William Shakespeare make up Welsh National Opera's Autumn season, which will comprise a British premiere and two new productions.  The season is part of the official Shakespeare 400 celebrations to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the great bard's death whilst continuing WNO Artistic Director David Pountney's creative approach to themed seasons.

Broadway veterans Kirby and Beverly Ward star in Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston's Crazy for You, George and Ira Gershwin's musical comedy about a 1930's playboy who just wants to dance, through August 14, 2016 at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452).  Ward reprises his spectacular Olivier Award-nominated role as 'Bobby Child,' the part he originated for the 1993 London premiere.  This high-energy production also stars Broadway veteran Beverly Ward (Epic Proportions, Billy Elliot ) as 'Polly Baker.' Crazy for You features flashy tap dance numbers and such memorable songs as 'Someone to Watch Over Me,' 'Embraceable You' and 'I Got Rhythm.' Original choreography by Susan Stroman, reproduced by Eileen Grace (Radio City Christmas Spectacular, 42nd Street).

 Multi-platinum-selling country artist Sara Evans, ukulele phenomenon Jake Shimabukuro, Grammy-nominated folk singer-songwriter Iris DeMent, Blues Hall of Famer Robert Cray, and the Nashville assemblage of high-dollar studio musicians The Time Jumpers, featuring Vince Gill, Kenny Sears, Ranger Doug Green, and Paul Franklin, are just a few of the artists set to appear at the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts at Pepperdine University during its 2016-2017 season.

Producers Carl Levin, Vicki Halmos, Elizabeth Williams, Greenleaf Productions and Clear Channel Spectacular announced today that nerds, a new musical comedy about the rise and rivalry of tech trailblazers Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, will postpone its Broadway run. A national tour of the production is in the works.

The tragic romance will play from tonight, February 11, through March 20 only.
