The Hatch Lab welcomes its inaugural residents: Playwright and director Miranda Middleton (MFD Dir., NIDA, dir. Ned: A New Australian Musical, New Theatre), playwright Grace Chapple (MDF Writing for Perf., NIDA, Never Closer, 2020 Griffin Award Shortlist) and composer and lyricist Luke Byrne (Between the Sea and Sky, NYMF Best Musical 2018, MD, The Harp in the South, STC) to its residency program as they develop, workshop and ultimately premiere their new Australian musical, Paper Stars.

On Friday August 28, 2020, the Ed Mirvish Theatre will celebrate its 100th year. This storied venue opened exactly a century ago as the Pantages Theatre.
Mirvish Productions to Dim Marquee Lights to Honor Lighting Designer Howell Binkley

Mirvish Productions mourns the death of Howell Binkley, one of the premier lighting designers in the world. He died August 14, 2020 in North Carolina, his wife, Joyce, told the Winston-Salem Journal. He was 64 and had lung cancer. In honour of Howell Binkley, the lights of the Royal Alexandra and Princess of Wales Theatre will be dimmed on 8/18.
Arena Stage Announces Virtual Audition Intensive

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater has announced its newly created virtual audition intensive. Developed and led by Arena Stage's Community Engagement department, the online intensive prepares students and artists ages 16-22 for careers in theater with group and private coaching sessions in audition techniques.
Toronto Production Of CURSED CHILD Delayed To 2021
