Broadway Rewind: STICK FLY Arrives on Broadway in 2011!

Today we rewind to 2011, when Lydia R. Diamond's Stick Fly opened on Broadway. The play, which featured music by Alicia Keys, played for 93 performances at the Cort Theatre.

SHOWTIME has announced that the ten-episode second season of its acclaimed comedy series BLACK MONDAY will debut with back-to-back episodes each week beginning on Sunday, March 15th from 10 to 11 p.m. ET/PT. The series is executive produced by Emmy® nominee and Golden Globe Award winner Don Cheadle, who stars with two-time Tony Award nominee and Grammy® winner Andrew Rannells (Girls), Regina Hall (Little, Girls Trip) and Screen Actors Guild® Award winner Paul Scheer (Veep). The series is created by showrunners and executive producers David Caspe (Happy Endings) and Jordan Cahan (My Best Friend's Girl). Emmy nominees Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (Good Boys, The Boys) serve as executive producers. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association's Winter Press Tour.

Paley Center Presents Exclusive SUITS Farewell Exhibit

The Paley Center for Media today announced that it will celebrate the final season of the acclaimed series Suits when it presents: Suits: A Farewell Celebration Exhibit.  The exclusive engagement will run at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location July 17 through September 15. Admission to this exciting new exhibit is free.

USA Network Announces Premiere Dates for SUITS and PEARSON

This summer, one story will come to an end as a new one begins. USA Network today announced that SUITS' ninth and final season, and new spinoff series, PEARSON, will premiere back-to-back on Wednesday, July 17 at 9/8c and 10/9c respectively. Both dramas hail from UCP and will have 10-episode seasons.

Theatre Philadelphia's Barrymore Awards were announced yesterday. The awards recognized the best Philadelphia area theater from July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2018. Judges and recommenders saw 112 productions by 40 companies were eligible, of which 10 companies won awards, for 11 productions.

The Geffen Playhouse today announced that it has added three directors to its upcoming 2018/2019 season, the first from new Artistic Director Matt Shakman. Tony Award nominee Michael Arden will direct Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, adapted by and starring Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays; Obie Award winner Jo Bonney will direct the world premiere of Jose Rivera's The Untranslatable Secrets of Nikki Corona; and Obie Award-winner Robert O'Hara will direct the world premiere of Inda Craig-Galvan's Black Super Hero Magic Mama.
