Clinton The Musical has found its Bills. Yes, Bills plural - it takes two actors to play the larger than life 42nd President of The United States. Playing President 'WJ' Clinton is Tom Galantich (Tail! Spin!, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Duke Lafoon (MONICA! The Musical, A Wonderful Life) will take on the role of 'Billy' Clinton. Additional casting includesJohn Treacy Egan (Nice Work if you Can Get It, Sister Act) as Newt Gingrich, Veronica Kuehn(Mamma Mia!, Avenue Q) as Monica Lewinsky, Kevin Zak (Silence! The Musical, My Life is a Musical) as Kenneth Starr with Kara Guy (National Tour: Footloose), Dale Hensley (La Cage aux Folles, The Drowsy Chaperone), Rob Richardson (Jekyll & Hyde, A Tale of Two Cities), and Gretchen Wylder(Bedbugs!!!, Til Divorce Do Us Part). They will join the previously announced Tony nominee, Kerry Butler as Hillary Clinton and Emmy Award winner, Judy Gold as Eleanor Roosevelt.

CLINTON THE MUSICAL to Premiere at New York Musical Theatre Festival, 7/18 - 7/25

A new musical created by a team of Australian brothers, Paul and Michael Hodge, CLINTON will makes its US debut at the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival. The new musical will be directed by Adam Arian with musical direction by James Dobinson and choreography by Emily McNamara, it will begin performances July 18 through July 25 at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street). Cadence Theatre Company, in partnership with Virginia Repertory Theatre, closes its 2012/13 Season with the emotionally packed Broadway rock-musical Next to Normal. Performances will begin at the Sara Belle and Neil November Theatre, Marjorie Arenstein Stage on Thursday, April 25, 2013 and run for four weeks only through Saturday, May 18, 2013. Winner of three 2009 Tony Awards and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Next to Normal examines the powerful story of Diana, a suburban housewife suffering with bipolar disorder, and the effects of that illness on her family. This is the groundbreaking musical that leaves audiences astounded and uplifted at the difference that understanding, hope, and encouragement makes in our lives. Cadence Theatre Company and Virginia Rep will be partnering with NAMI, The VCU Department of Psychiatry and the ReelAbilities Film Festival for this production.
