Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Patti LuPone's appearances at 54 Below have already achieved the status of legend. Experiencing the great diva in the intimate atmosphere of 54 Below is not only a never-to-be-forgotten experience but is one you will want to repeat again and again.

Sally Kellerman, the legendary Oscar-nominated “Hot Lips” of the original “MASH,” will bring her new show, “A Little Jazz, a Little Blues, a Little Rock and Roll” to the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 8:30 PM. She'll also play 54 Below in New York on Friday, Jan. 23 at 9:30 PM and the Rrazz Room in New Hope, PA on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 8 PM. The acclaimed show is a celebration of her 40-year cabaret career, from early years at Reno Sweeney in Greenwich Village up to recent performances in L.A. and San Francisco.

In an evening, conceived and directed by Tony Award winner Scott Wittman, LuPone will perform an eclectic collection of torch songs by songwriters including Arthur Schwartz, Howard Dietz, Jule Styne, Sammy Cahn,Billy Barnes, Harold Arlen, George and Ira Gershwin, and Cole Porter. Don Heckman of The Los Angeles Times described the show as 'a beautifully paced, marvelously delivered torch-song exploration of the pleasures and pains of love; LuPone's remarkable, larger-than-life qualities and stunning musicality are distilled into the pure essence of her art.' Earlier today it was announced that 54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, has a multi-year agreement with two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone. Twice yearly, LuPone will play two-week engagements at the venue. The agreement, which runs through 2016, launches with the upcoming July 21 - August 2 engagement, 'The Lady with The Torch.'

When talented studio and recording musicians who also love jazz combine their talents a kind of synergy happens based on a deep understanding of music that results in a spontaneous musical conversation. This is the case when JazzTime swings the jazz standards at Vicky's. Don Shelton vocalized with the Hi-Lo's and Singers Unlimited and is amazing on clarinet, sax and flute. He recently played with Barbara Cook and the LA Phil. He worked with Clare Fischer in sessions for Prince, Michael Jackson and Robert Palmer, plus the Clare Fischer Latin Jazz Quintet and Bob Florence band. Tom Keenlyside's sax and flute playing have been featured at major jazz festivals and with many of the biggest names in the music business: Diana Krall, Harry Connick Jr., Natalie Cole, Dizzy Gillespie, Mel Torme and Tom Jones. He has been inducted into the B.C. Entertainment Hall of Fame. Drummer Allen Goodman brings years of experience from NY's supper clubs to Carnegie Hall to NBC TV as a performer and studio drummer, as well as accompanying singers such as Dinah Shore, Johnny Mathis, Peggy Lee, Liza Minnelli, Vikki Carr, Bobby Troup, Billie Holiday & others. Larry Holloway, the Desert's go-to bassist, brings depth of experience and a unique approach to bass as exemplified by virtuoso bassist Red Mitchell and, in fact, was the first recipient of the 'Red Mitchell Scholarship Award.' Regular pianists such as Josh Nelson, Barney McClure, Chip Smith, Andy Langham, Joe Bagg, Jeff Colella and others bring their distinctive musical gifts to the group.

The ONE NIGHT ONLY performance will be presented by producer Bobbi Goodman at Vicky's of Santa Fe Supper Club; 45-100 Club Drive (Highway 111 at Club Drive); Indian Wells, CA 92210 on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. Kellerman's program will include some new takes on familiar songs.
