The Toronto Fringe's first ever digital festival, the Fringe Collective, wrapped up yesterday after offering 12 days of digital programming to Fringe lovers across Toronto and the world, with over 42% of viewers being non-local. The festival featured pre-recorded video, audio, and written content from 52 companies that were slated to be part of the 2020 Toronto Fringe Festival.

With book and Lyrics by Denis McGrath, music by Scott White and originally produced in Toronto by Derrick Chua for Cattle Productions, TG!TM was nominated for multiple Dora Awards, including Outstanding New Musical. In 2004, Top Gun! The Musical was selected to be part of the inaugural New York Musical Theatre Festival, alongside featured new musicals by Stephen Schwartz, Avenue Q's Marx and Lopez and Chicago's Kander and Ebb.

2015 Leonard McHardy and John Harvey Award Recipient Announced

The Leonard McHardy and John Harvey Award (LMJH Award) was inaugurated in 2008 and recognizes the important work of theatre, dance and opera administrators. Recipients of the LMJH Award have at least 10 years of demonstrated commitment to the performing arts, in addition to having made an impact on the industry in Toronto. The award is named after Leonard McHardy and John Harvey, the celebrated former owners of Toronto's Theatrebooks, which they co-founded in 1975. Until its closure in July of 2014, it stood as one of the longest surviving independent bookstores in the country.
