Pioneer Theatre Company presents the world premiere of TOUCH(ED) by Bess Wohl, the first production of the theatre's recently instituted New Plays Initiative.

Dennis Parlato, seen on Broadway in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Sound of Music and The Graduate, will assume the role of El Gallo in Off Broadway's The Fantasticks from July 13 through August 2, 2009 while Lewis Cleale, who normally plays the role, appears in Camelot at The Muny.

Color symbolism is a literary device that is hammered home by high school English teachers around the country. Students are encouraged to ponder why Jay Gatsby reaches out to the green light at the end of Daisy Buchanan's dock and what Robert Frost meant when he wrote about two roads diverging in a yellow wood. The theater community kicked off The Fantasticks 50th anniversary year with an early curtain of the show (7PM) and a post-performance cocktail reception at The Snapple Center on Monday May 4th.

The Fantasticks, the world's longest-running musical, has welcomed two new cast members to its fold.

This Thursday, July 17, 2008 the entire Fantasticks audience will be invited to join the cast and creators of the show for dinner and drinks at a party celebrating the return of the world's longest-running musical. Entry to the party will be granted to anyone holding a ticket for Thursday's performance.
