Producing Artistic Director Mei Ann Teo and Musical Theatre Factory present the Developmental Residency presentation of Agent 355, a new punk-rock musical with Music, Lyrics, and Book by Preston Max Allen and Book and Dramaturgy by Jessica Kahkoska. Agent 355 is directed by Estefania Fadul and features music direction and orchestrations by Madeline Smith ,with General Management by Simpson & Longthorne Theatricals and MTF Creative Producing by Maggie Snyder.

Ars Nova, "one of the most adventurous Off-Broadway companies" (New York Times), under the leadership of Founding Artistic Director Jason Eagan and Managing Director Renee Blinkwolt, will host Over/Under Unplugged, a free concert series following select Friday evening performances of Andrew R. Butler's Rags Parkland Sings the Songs of The Future. Concerts will feature performers from The Future and special guests performing unplugged and up close. They'll #playforchange with any donations dropped in their bucket going to select charities including the National Network of Abortion Funds, The Trevor Project, and The National Eating Disorders Association.

Water Damage Emergency Forces Ars Nova To Adjust Performance Schedule For RAGS PARKLAND SINGS THE SONGS OF THE FUTURE

Due to a water damage emergency, Ars Nova has been forced to adjust the performance schedule for the world premiere of Rags Parkland Sings The Songs Of The Future, which began previews on September 25. The opening has been moved to Monday, October 15 and a new closing date has been set for November 3. Performances on October 2-6 have been canceled to allow for necessary repairs. On September 29, a fire sprinkler activated and caused water damage to the set, theater, and basement.

The American Theatre Wing just presented the 2018 Jonathan Larson® Grants recipients are Jay Adana (music and lyrics), Andrew R. Butler & Andrew Farmer (music, lyrics, and book), Emily Kaczmarek& Zoe Sarnak (music, lyrics, and book), and Mark Sonnenblick(music and lyrics). Four prestigious, unrestricted grants of $10,000 each, as well as additional support in the form of residencies, concerts, and recording grants, totaling over $48,000 were given at a private event at the WNYC Greene Space. 

RED ROSES, GREEN GOLD To Perform At SXSW and Will Conclude NYC Run Feb 18

RED ROSES, GREEN GOLD, the latest musical from MWM Live (Million Dollar Quartet) featuring the music & lyrics of Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter, will perform during this year's SXSW Festival on Friday, March 16th - as part of the Relix and Brooklyn Bowl event at The Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion located at The Scoot Inn - in tribute to the Jerry Garcia Band album Cats Under the Stars. RED ROSES, GREEN GOLD will now conclude its limited engagement at the Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane) on Sunday, February 18, 2018 (previously announced for March 18). At the time of closing RED ROSES, GREEN GOLD will have played 21 previews and 129 regular performances.

MWM Live is proud to announce that RED ROSES, GREEN GOLD, the new musical featuring music & lyrics by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter, is teaming up with The Jerry Garcia Foundation to present Jerry Garcia artwork at Greenwich Village's Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane). The artwork, which is now on display throughout the theater, is open to all RED ROSES, GREEN GOLD ticket-holders.
