Kennedy Center Hosts 11th Annual Page-to-Stage New Play Festival, 9/1-3

The Kennedy Center hosts its 11th annual Page-to-Stage new play festival from Saturday, September 1, 2012 to Monday, September 3, 2012, featuring more than 40 theaters from the D.C. metropolitan area, all with a mission to produce and support new work. The three-day, Center-wide event offers a series of free readings and open rehearsals of plays and musicals being developed by local, regional, and national playwrights, librettists, and composers.

With films and filmmakers arriving from across the globe, the Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) kicks off its 13th annual event August 4th-9th, 2009. This year 235 feature length, documentary and short films - from 57 countries - will be screened over a six-day period In locations throughout the state, all vying for top awards. Out of over 7,000 film festivals worldwide, RIIFF is one of only 63 Academy Award qualifying Festivals. This year's films have been selected from a record entry base of over 3,000 submissions.

Yes, an old British tradition of a benefit performance to help fellow members of the theatrical community, similar to the benefit in Chaplin's film Limelight.

Dirt is directed by David Robinson and performed by Christopher Domig. Performances run from April 2 - 26, 2008 in a limited engagement at Under St. Marks in NYC. Previews begin April 2 for an April 5 opening. In a review of Dirt at last year's NY Fringe Fest Adam Feldman of TimeOut NY dubbed his performance 'Riveting' and gave the play 4 stars, Back Stage marked it a 'PICK' saying 'Dirt is painful but powerful theatre' and NYTheatre.com declared 'Dirt is a remarkable piece of theatre-deep, emotional, and thought-provoking.'
