Nicole Zuraitis is the 2016 New York City Songwriting Competition Coffee Music Project Winner, 2015 second runner-up in the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition and the 2014 Herb Albert ASCAP Young Composer Awards Winner. She's also the Peoples Choice and Johnny Mercer Award winner in the National American Traditions Vocal Competition. Nicole has headlined the Blue Note (NYC) and maintains residencies at the 55 Bar (every second Thursday of the month), Rockwood Music Hall (with the Dan Pugach Nonet), and Redeye Grill. Audiences love Nicole's limitless enthusiasm, but that's only part of her story; only part of her talent.

The 2017/18 season of world-class dance, music and theater continues as the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis) presents its third annual Winter @ The Wallis series. This year, Winter @ The Wallis programming grows to eighteen events to be performed in the Bram Goldsmith Theater and the intimate Lovelace Studio Theater, beginning on Saturday, January 6 with the classical music duo, violinist Sarah Chang and pianist Julio Elizalde. Other highlights include: The Wallis debut of the L.A.-based dance company Lula Washington Dance Theatre; a weekend celebrating the great jazz legend Arturo Sandoval along with other local jazz artists; the modern music collective wild Up under the baton of founder Christopher Rountree; the return of the innovative United Kingdom-based theater company Kneehigh with The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk; and the world premiere of Tom Dugan's Jackie Unveiled.

There are two nights of great live music at the 1200 Club inside the Holland Performing Arts Center in March: Omaha musician Matt Whipkey will play his celebrated concept album, Penny Park: Omaha, NE: 1989, in its entirety with special guest Rothsteen on Friday, March 4. The following night, March 5, mesmerizing French vocalist Cyrille Aime?e will perform a mix of American standards and gypsy jazz, with touches of Brazilian and French pop. Both concerts start at 8:00 p.m. in the Scott Recital Hall of the Holland Performing Arts Center, 1200 Douglas St.
