On October 12, Music for Autism's Junior Board hosted a crowd of over 100 young professionals, friends and loved ones at District CoWork for a vibrant and musical evening full of food, drinks, and phenomenal performances. Thanks to their fabulous and talented musician friends, guests were treated to Broadway caliber musical theater while they sipped on beverages courtesy of Given Liquor and Paralelo Vineyards. They also dined on deliciously healthy fare from their friends at OxVerte.

After six long years, the wait is finally over! The musical web series THE BATTERY'S DOWN, which wrapped up its final season in late 2009, has returned for a reunion special (which aired on Hulu earlier this week) and a Joe's Pub concert, with performances from original cast members (and some very special guests). LIVING FOR TODAY will present a benefit concert entitled LFT:R&H, on Sunday, October 25 at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St) beginning at 7PM. The concert is produced and directed by David Alpert (IF/THEN, The Trip to Bountiful, The Best Man) with music direction by Jason Wetzel (After Midnight). Tickets are $20; $40; and $75 (VIP seats which includes an after-show champagne toast with the company) and are available at www.joespub.com.

On Monday, October 12, 2015, Music for Autism will hold a fundraiser at District CoWork NoMad. Featured performers include Broadway veteran, Cody Williams (On the Town, Cinderella, Memphis), Alysha Umphress (On the Town), Thayne Jasperson (Hamilton), and Joe Iconis and family. The event will feature cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and will run from 6:00-9:00pm, with the performance beginning at 7:15pm. ON THE TOWN began previews on September 20, 2014 and officially opened on October 16, 2014 at the Lyric Theatre. Now, New York City Ballet soloist Georgina Pazcoguin steps into the role of 'Ivy Smith' for performances from tonight, August 11, through August 23. Beginning August 25, Misty Copeland will make her Broadway debut in the role for 12 performances only, through September 6.

Alysha Umphress has a special relationship with Barrington Stage Company and William Finn so it wasn't a surprise that on her day off from On The Town she came to Pittsfield and sang in Mr. Finn's Cabaret. It also wasn't a surprise the demand for tickets was so great that a second late show had to be added.
