Porchlight Music Theatre has announced its 28th season that includes the 2022 – 2023 Mainstage, Porchlight Revisits and New Faces Sing Broadway series. Mainstage and Porchlight Revisits performances take place at The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street.

Padua Playwrights presents the world premiere of the newest work from legendary poet/playwright Murray Mednick. Mednick directs his darkly comic Three Tables for a five-week run, April 23 through May 22, at the Zephyr Theatre on Melrose Avenue.

The Civilians is presenting the newest members of The R&D Group, marking the Group’s 11th season. The R&D Group is comprised of playwrights, composers, and directors who work together as a writing group for nine months to develop new plays and musicals.

In celebration of Filipino American History Month, Ma-Yi Theater Company will present the digital premiere of Clifford Odets in Staten Island by Obie award-winning, Ma-Yi affiliated artist Ron Domingo.

Ma-Yi Theater Company has announced its 2021–2022 season which includes a return to in-person  events as well as four digital premieres. Drew and Dane Productions has announced that it is moving forward to lead the production of Rain and Zoe Save the World, written by Crystal Skillman with original music by Bobby Cronin.

Cherry Lane Theatre, the oldest continuously running Off-Broadway theatre in New York City, has a new owner, it has been announced by Angelina Fiordellisi, the theatre’s Executive Director since having acquired the building in 1996.  Cherry Lane is located at 38 Commerce Street in Greenwich Village.
