Main Street Theater (MST) continues its popular holiday tradition of the Pemberley plays with the latest in the series by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon: Georgiana and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley.

What did our critic think of BERNHARDT/HAMLET at Theatre Pro Rata? Set in 1899 Paris, this play delves into the life of the audacious and acclaimed actress, Sarah Bernhardt. She stands at the pinnacle of her career, having triumphed in numerous theatrical roles and won the hearts of critics.

Theatre Pro Rata is producing  Bernhardt/Hamlet  written by Theresa Rebeck at The Crane Theater this September under the direction of Carin Bratlie Wethern. 

Rec Room Arts' 201819 season wraps up with the spellbinding adaptation of Georg B chner's Woyzeck. Artistic Director, Matt Hune and exciting young writer, Maurielle McGarvey have re-invented B chner's 19th century tragedy into a jaw-dropping thriller set in modern suburbia. Performances begin July 17 and continue through August 3 (see schedule).

As part of a Halloween double feature, The Country Playhouse presents Frankenstein by Victor Gialanella, for three weekends only, now through October 27, on its Cerwinske main stage. Performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, with a Sunday matinee on October 21 at 2:00 pm, plus a weeknight show on Thursday, October 25, at 7:30 pm. Halloween time is upon us, and Country Playhouse is offering audiences a spine-chilling dramatic version of Mary Shelley's classic horror tale FRANKENSTEIN. The play, penned by Victor Gialanella, met a tragic end in New York City when it flopped in 1981 after 29 previews and 1 performance. Under the direction of Philip L. Nichols, Jr. the script is brought to fascinating life, engaging the audience and entertaining them with one of the closest adaptations of the novel that I have ever seen.
