After last month's announcement that the Tony Award-winning musical An American in Paris would close on January 1, 2017 at Broadway's Palace Theatre, the musical's producers have just confirmed an earlier closing date.

The hit Broadway musical An American in Paris welcomes DIMITRI KLEIORIS to the role of Jerry Mulligan beginning today, Tuesday July 19. Kleioris has been performing the role at various performances since joining the company in March. LEANNE COPE continues in the role of Lise Dassin.

In celebration of Bastille Day, Tony Award-winning AN AMERICAN IN PARIS director/choreographer Christopher Wheeldon will be featured on Reddit.com's "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) on Thursday, July 14 at 12:00pm EST. Just announced, the Tony Award-winning musical An American in Paris will close on Sunday, January 1, 2017. Since the first performance at Broadway's Palace Theatre on March 13, 2015, An American in Paris will have played 719 regular performances and 29 previews.

AN AMERICAN IN PARIS will launch a national tour in Boston at the Citi Wang Theatre October 25-November 6, following a preview period at Proctor's in Schenectady, NY. As previously announced, Garen Scribner,currently playing Jerry Mulligan in the Broadway production, will star in the tour along with Sara Esty, who plays Lise Dassin at various performances on Broadway. Additional casting for the tour will be announced in the coming months.

The Tony Award-winning hit musical AN AMERICAN IN PARIS celebrates its first year on Broadway tonight, Tuesday, April 12. The hit new Broadway musical AN AMERICAN IN PARIS will launch a digital lottery beginning Tuesday, January 26. A limited number of tickets will be available through the lottery which will open at 8:00am for matinees / 10:00am for evening performances and will remain open until 11am / 3pm when winners are drawn.

The Kimmel Center is proud to be one of the co-producers of An American in Paris, which won four honors at Sunday's 69th Annual Tony Awards. The popular Broadway stage adaptation was co-produced by the Kimmel Center as part of Elephant Eye Theatrical and the production consortium Five Cent Productions.
