A pop-up pinball arcade has joined the run of The Who’s Tommy at The Goodman Theatre. Audiences can play our original Tommy pinball machine and take their shot at becoming “The Pinball Wizard.”

The second annual Black Women On Broadway awards were held this week in New York and the star-studded event included appearances from the organization's founders, Danielle Brooks, Jocelyn Bioh, and Amber Iman and Broadway luminaries NaTasha Yvette Williams, Tonya Pinkins, Crystal Lucas Perry, LaChanze, Audra McDonald and more! This summer, Chicago will be first to experience a reimagined production of The Who's Tommy when the original creators reunite at Goodman Theatre. Tony Award winners Pete Townshend and Des McAnuff, nearly 30 years after their epic pop-culture musical theater sensation first bowed on Broadway, have reconvened to tell the story of Tommy Walker for 2023 audiences.

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS and THE CIVILIANS have announced the release of four new albums as the final installment of The Michael Friedman Collection. Adventures in Reality, Canard, Canard, Goose?, In the Footprint: The Battle for the Atlantic Yards, and Mr. Burns, a post-electric play will all be available in digital and streaming formats on Friday, March 24.

The fully renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents R.E.S.P.E.C.T., an electrifying tribute celebrating the legendary Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin on Saturday, March 11 at 8pm and Sunday, March 12 at 2pm. Tickets range from $40-$98.  

In all, this new BABY from Out Of The Box Theatricals is a fine 40th Birthday present for the old BABY.

It takes some suspension of disbelief to imagine Baby in the 21st century.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T is an electrifying tribute celebrating the music of the legendary Aretha Franklin! This elevated concert experience is a journey through the 1960’s Motown era and Franklin’s courageous life of love, tragedy, and triumph. Starring a live band and supreme vocalists, audiences will be out of their seats and dancing to a night of music by one of the greatest artists of all time.
