A major regional theatre hit is finally playing the New York metropolitan area. The play is the semi-autobiographical comedy Over the Tavern written by Nyack (Rockland County), New York's own Tom Dudzick. The theatre is Penguin Rep in Stony Point, where Dudzick's comedy Miracle on South Division Street had its premiere last year.

T. Schreiber Studio (Terry Schreiber, Artistic Director) will present Julie Garfield in Carol Rocamora's adaptation of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov. Directed by Terry Schreiber, The Cherry Orchard begins previews February 25, 2010 prior to an official press opening of March 5, 2010 at The Gloria Maddox Theater at T. Schreiber Studio (151 West 26th Street).

Penguin Rep Theatre, under the leadership of artistic director Joe Brancato and executive director Andrew M. Horn, open its 2009 season with Our Lady of South Division Street, a new comedy by Tom Dudzick, directed by Mr. Brancato, from May 15 through June 7 in Stony Point, New York. Our Lady of South Division Street is the story of Clara Nowak, her daughters Beverly and Ruth, and son Jimmy.
