Yesterday, Friday 3 November 2017, the fourth annual West End Wilma Awards (this year in association with Free@Last TV Ltd), took place at London's Delfont Room in the Prince Of Wales Theatre.

Playwright John Guare, author of 'The House of Blue Leaves,' 'Six Degrees of Separation,' 'The Landscape of the Body' and more, will be honored at The Workshop Theater's fourth unGala on October 23, 2017.

Hackney Empire today announces casting for its highly anticipated 2017 Christmas pantomime, Cinderella, having last been staged at the venue in 2011. Established West End performer Aisha Jawando (Motown the Musical, Beautiful) will be stepping into the glass slippers of the title role. After an absence of almost a decade, tick, tick…BOOM! bursts back onto the London stage at the Park Theatre. There's plenty of energy, a natural spark among the three leads, but little emotional impact in this revival. It ticks, ticks along, but lacks the boom.

Chris Jenkins returns to Park Theatre in the role of Jon, following his appearance in 2016's quadruple Offie Award-nominated musicalThe Burnt Part Boys in PARK90. Gillian Saker (BBC Two's Ripper Street) performs the role of Jon's girlfriend Susan, with Jordan Shaw (Motown The Musical, Shaftesbury Theatre) playing the part of Michael, Jon's childhood friend.

Full casting has been announced for tick, tick… BOOM! at Park Theatre: the autobiographical rock musical detailing the journey that led to Jonathan Larson's big break and Broadway blockbuster, Rent. As Jon frets over his inert career as a composer in the prelude to his thirtieth birthday, the future Pulitzer Prize and Tony award-winner, accompanied by his friend and girlfriend, begin to question if it's time to move away from his theatre aspirations.

Today, 8 September 2016, Andrew Lloyd Webber announces David Fynn is to lead the London cast of School of Rock - The Musical as wannabe rock star Dewey Finn. Lloyd Webber's West End production will begin previews at the New London Theatre on 24 October 2016 with opening night on 14 November 2016, School of Rock - The Musical is initially booking to 12 February 2017.

Brighton-born actor/singer/songwriter Alex James Ellison, who recently supported Samantha Barks on her UK concert tour, will present a concert of songs with his music performed by himself and some special guests from the world of  West End musical theatre at the new Union Theatre on Sunday October 2.

The cast has been announced for the European premiere of heart-warming chamber musical THE BURNT PART BOYS at Park Theatre, which runs from 10 August to 3 September. This is the first musical to be staged in PARK90, and British director Matthew Illife directs a brand new cast in this premiere. Press Night is Thursday 11 August, 7pm.
