At the 29th Annual Gypsy of the year Competition, Chaz Wolcott directed and choreographed a special uplifting number set to Sammy Davis Jr.'s version of Gonna Build a Mountain. Broadway's brightest will celebrate six weeks of dedicated fundraising in a spectacular showcase of songs and skits when the 29th Annual Gypsy of the Year competition returns at 4:30 pm Monday, December 4, 2017, and at 2 pm Tuesday, December 5, 2017, produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Stars from Broadway's hottest shows, including Aladdin, A Bronx Tale, Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton and Meteor Shower, will make special appearances at the 29th annual Gypsy of the Year competition on Monday, December 4, at 4:30 pm and Tuesday, December 5, at 2 pm.

Broadway veteran and Original Broadway Cast member of the Tony Award-winning revival of Hello, Dolly!, Robert Hartwell launches the 3rd season of The Broadway Collective a traveling, multi-disciplinary musical theatre master class.

On October 2nd, exactly one year from closing, cast members from the national tour of Newsies will reunite on the stage of Feinstein's/54 Below to present the second annual The Newsboys' Variety Show.

Leg Up On Life: Showcase! benefiting The Trevor Project is hosted by Daniel Gold who wanted to create a platform for choreographers of all dance styles to get their works out to the public while raising money for a phenomenal organization. Showcase! is taking place Monday, August 28th, 2017 at Dixon Place. Performances will take place 4pm and 8pm doors opening a half hour prior.

Audiences have a final chance to 'Seize the Day!' - tickets are now available for 'Disney's Newsies: The Broadway Musical!,' playing in U.S. movie theaters for three days only on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday February 18 at 12:55 p.m. and Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. (all local times). Captured live at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre earlier this year, the event reunites original cast members Jeremy Jordan, Kara Lindsay, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, and Ben Fankhauser.

Now IS the time to seize the day! BroadwayWorld has learned that Disney will film NEWSIES this August, at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. Returning for the filming will be original Broadway cast members Jeremy Jordan and Kara Lindsay. The production, currently on tour plays the Pantages from Aug. 30, 2016 - Sept. 4, 2016. There is no word yet if the production is headed towards the big or small screen, or who else might be joining or re-joining the cast for the filming.

Casting has been announced for the Charlotte engagement of Disney's  NEWSIES.   The Tony® Award-winning production will begin performances at Belk Theater at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, August 9 for a limited engagement through Sunday, August 14. 

Broadway In Chicago is pleased to announce casting for the Chicago engagement of Disney's NEWSIES. The Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W Randolph) on Thursday, July 28 for a limited engagement through Sunday, August 7.
