They display their musical prowess once again with their current production of HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, a show that romps through the trials of the business world with humor and hijinks abound. As the last show in their season of Pulitzer Prize-winning productions, Susquehanna Stage Company truly ends 2017 on a high note.

Oakland, CA, December 10, 2015—Music Director Michael Morgan and the Oakland Symphony continue their annual exploration of world orchestral music traditions this season with Notes from Vietnam, Today, February 12, 2016, at 8 pm at the Paramount Theatre. Featured will be Emmy Award-winning composer performer Vân-Ánh Võ, who will give the world premiere of her Lullaby for a Country, performing on the ?àn tranh (Vietnamese zither), ?àn B?u (monochord), and vocals. In addition, TV and Broadway star and filmmaker Michael Urie (Ugly Betty, Modern Family) will narrate Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. Completing the program will be Dvo?ák's Carnival Overture. The Symphony's Notes from . . . series has become a popular mainstay of the Bay Area music scene and annually explores symphonic music both new and traditional from cultures that may be less well known to audiences. Past Notes from . . . programs have focused on music from Mexico, Persia, the Philippines, China and the Middle East, among others. Free lobby entertainment, no-host drinks and pre-concert talk begin at 7 pm. And the concert is sponsored in part by California Waste Solutions. Tickets are priced $20-$75 and may be purchased at www.OaklandSymphony.org.

ZACH Theatre announces the full cast for the upcoming Texas Premiere of 2014 Tony Award - winning play All The Way by Robert Schenkkan, based on Lyndon Baines Johnson's first year as President of the United States. ZACH Theatre Producing Artistic Director DAVE STEAKLEY will direct at the Topfer Theatre on the Karen Kuykendall stage April 8 - May 10, 2015. Noted Broadway, film, and television actor STEVE VINOVICH will star as President Lyndon Baines Johnson. Mr. Vinovich performed the role of Rep. Emanuel Cellar in the Broadway production of All The Way and was the understudy to Bryan Cranston as LBJ.

Donna Carbone, Managing Director of the Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre (Institute), announced a date change for the Cabaret Camp Showcase to be presented at the Lake Park Mirror Ballroom, inside the Lake Park Town Hall. "We apologize for the confusion. Coordinating the many details that go into a show can be daunting," she said when explaining why changes had to be made.

The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre (BRIFT) will offer a six week Cabaret Camp beginning June 17 and continuing through July 29. Cabaret Camp, which will be taught by well-known Broadway star and cabaret singer Avery Sommers, will be held at the Lake Park Mirror Ballroom.

Ebony Repertory Theatre (ERT - Founder/Producer Wren T. Brown) announced today that Phillip Hayes Dean's (Drama Desk-winner for The Sty of the Blind Pig) powerful and moving play PAUL ROBESON has been extended by popular demand for three more performances and will now play through Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. The production, directed by Mr. Dean, stars two-time Emmy Award-winner Keith David (Fox's new series Enlisted) with accompaniment by pianist/musical director Byron J. Smith (working with numerous artists including Wynton Marsalis, Barbra Streisand, BeBe Winans). PAUL ROBESON plays at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center (4718 West Washington Boulevard) in Los Angeles.
