Second Stage Theater will partner with Common and his not-for-profit, Imagine Justice, to host “Justice Nights On Broadway” following the matinee performances of Between Riverside and Crazy at The Hayes Theater on Saturday, February 11th and Saturday, February 18th 2023.

Second Stage Theater will host a Winter’s Ball geared towards young professionals and arts patrons, featuring Michael R. Jackson and Common. The fundraising event will take place on Monday, February 27 at The Pierre Hotel. See

The League of Professional Theatre Women will present its annual Theatre Women Awards on March 27th from 1 to 3 p.m., at a Midtown Manhattan location to be announced. 

Philadelphia’s Roman Catholic High School officially renamed its current Black Box Theatre in the Howard Center for the Performing Arts as the Fuller Theatre, in honor of the late Charles Fuller, a school alumnus and Philadelphia-born playwright of the Pulitzer Prize-winning and Tony Award-winning Best Revival of a Play, A SOLDIER’S PLAY, playing at Philadelphia’s Forrest Theatre through January 29. Gary Perez has joined the cast of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ Pulitzer Prize-winning play, BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY, directed by Austin Pendleton.  Mr. Perez assumed the role of Lieutenant Caro on January 20, 2023.

This 'whodunit' masterpiece takes it's patron on a 'cat and mice' journey of colorism and racism with many guilty parties.

A Soldier’s Play comes to The Human Race Theatre Company in February 2023. Written by Charles Fuller and directed by Kenny Leon, the production stars Norm Lewis.

Today's subject Norm Lewis is probably best known for his rich baritone sound and superb acting in several Broadway musicals. His tour de force performance opposite Audra McDonald in Porgy and Bess is still one of the great modern-day performances.

The Kimmel Cultural Campus, in partnership with The Shubert Organization, will present the Philadelphia premiere of Roundabout Theatre Company's 2020 Tony Award-winning Best Revival of a Play, A Soldier's Play.

Tickets will go on sale for Second Stage Theater's simulcast performances of its Broadway production of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ play, BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY, directed by Austin Pendleton on Friday, November 11 at 12pm EST. 

Following HalfPint at Night, SigSpace will feature, on November 13 from 5:30-6:30pm, a concert response to Quiara Alegría Hudes’ memoir My Broken Language from Bushwick Book Club—the theatrical adaptation of which is currently being performed in the Signature Center’s Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre (through November 27).
