NY Comedy Festival Adds THE BEN STILLER SHOW Reunion, Denis Leary and More to Lineup

The New York Comedy Festival (NYCF), in association with COMEDY CENTRAL, today announced over 70 additional shows taking place at more than 25 venues throughout New York City, to its 2012 schedule, highlighted by two events in partnership with The Paley Center for Media: a reunion of the creative minds behind the landmark TV series The Ben Stiller Show and a Conversation with Denis Leary in celebration of his new publication Merry F***in' Christmas. In addition, the NYCF's New York's Funniest Stand-Up competition, brought to you in partnership with JetBlue, and the festival's Comics To Watch program will offer emerging comics a platform to showcase their work to industry professionals in front of a live audience.

NYC & Company, New York City's official marketing, tourism and partnership organization, New York Comedy Festival and Comedy Central today announced the second annual Comedy Week, November 5-11. On the heels of Election Night, Comedy Central's sketch-comedy duo, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, from the hit series Key & Peele will perform a free Comedy Week show as part of the weeklong celebration on Wednesday, November 7, at8 pm at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. In addition, more than 175 comedians will be in New York City to participate in the New York Comedy Festival, performing at some of New York City's most iconic venues, including the Apollo Theater, Carnegie Hall, the Beacon Theatre, Madison Square Garden, Town Hall and Carolines on Broadway.

The Paley Center for Media will partner with the New York Comedy Festival, which is presented in association with COMEDY CENTRAL, to present a special comedy-themed edition of Next Big Thing, the Paley Center's quarterly showcase for digital-media startups. Set for Wednesday, November 7, the event will feature demos and presentations from five comedy-related startup companies.
