Jim Caruso's Cast Party is proud to welcome singer/songwriter KATIE THOMPSON to the Broadway at Birdland series on Monday, February 16 at 7pm. Broadway singers Shoshana Bean, Ann Harada, Molly Pop, Natalie Weiss, Lisa Brescia, Carly Jibson, Carrie Manolakos, Julie Reiber and Kate Shindle will join Thompson in her Broadway at Birdland concert debut.

On February 16th, some of today's brightest Broadway talent will celebrate the compositions of songwriter Katie Thompson. Those scheduled to appear at the 7pm Birdland concert include Lisa Brescia, Carly Jibson, Carrie Manolakos, Julie Reiber and Kate Shindle. More performers will be announced shortly. Thompson, whom will accompany each performer as well as herself on the piano, will be joined by cellists Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf and Allison Seidner. Katie Thompson is one of the most celebrated, undiscovered talent in New York. Katie originated the roles of 'Sariah' in THE ARK and 'Connie Lou' in Michael McLean's THE FORGOTTEN CAROLS, a role she owned for 7 years of touring everywhere from Honolulu to Washington, D.C. Readings: Giant; Piece. As a songwriter, Katie was nominated for a Pearl Award, an Indie Award, and on the MAC ballot for her original songs 'I Can Be Bought', 'It Doesn't Hurt', and for NEW YORK DEBUT - FEMALE. The Laurie Beechman Theatre, located within The West Bank Caf? (407 West 42nd St.), is pleased to continue our Friday night soiree, THE AFTER PARTY. Now going strong it's third, THE AFTER PARTY is billed as 'a weekly schmoozefest for the theatrically inclined.' Every Friday from 10:30 pm until the wee hours, pros from Broadway and aspiring stars alike belt it out on the stage of The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Join hosts BRANDON CUTRELL (MAC & Bistro Award winner) and ALYSHA UMPHRESS (XL Star) with RAY FELLMAN (Captain Louie) at the piano for this weekly party in the theatre district. On January 4th 2009, after over 2,641 performances, the curtain fell at the Neil Simon Theater on the final performance of Broadway's 2003 Tony Award winning musical HAIRSPRAY starring original cast members Harvey Fierstein and Marissa Jaret Winokur. Composer-lyricist Scott Alan's held a very special evening of songs and discussion in celebration of the release of his new CD, Keys: The Music of Scott Alan on Monday, December 1st at the Barnes & Nobleat Lincoln Triangle, 1972 Broadway at 66th Street.

Jamie McGonnigal presented 'Broadway Loves Joe's Pub" a concert featuring the best of the best from the Broadway concerts at Joe's Pub over the last ten years.

Due to illness, Hairspray's Nikki Blonsky will no longer be available to perform, but the events producers have announce that Cry Baby's Carly Jibson will be taking her place. Joining Jibson and host Judy Gold, Tony Award-Winners Laura Benanti (Gypsy, ABC's Eli Stone), and Cady Huffman (The Producer's, Curb Your Enthusiasm), Tony Nominee Gavin Creel (West End's Mary Poppins, Thoroughly Modern Millie), and Steven Pasquale (A Man of No Importance, FX's Rescue Me) will be Rent's Will Chase, Xanadu's Jackie Hoffman, Spring Awakening and Weeds Star, Hunter Parrish and Rent's Anthony Rapp. The performers will all be reprising songs they have performed in previous Joe's Pub events or songs they've become known for, giving fans a chance to relive the magical nights from years past at the Pub.
