The cast of SHEAR MADNESS joined the Off-Broadway League in recognizing the needs of the less fortunate this holiday season - particularly imperiled children - and collected toys and games for the OFF BROADWAY TOY DRIVE.

This week THEATER TALK profiles two theatrical successes with unorthodox roots - the first, Oh, Hello on Broadway with Nick Kroll and John Mulaney, started out as skits in clubs and on TV, became a play off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theater - and is now a full-scale big-stage production at the Lyceum on 45th Street. The second hit, Shear Madness, is a phenomenon that has played around the world for 37 years and arrived in New York just one year ago.

Manny Kladitis, Jeffrey Chrzczon, Terry Schnuck, Kathleen K. Johnson, Jack Lane, Radio Mouse Entertainment, Schaffert/Hummel, Driemeyer-Sills Productions, Michael Guccione, David Gersten, Erach Screwvala, and The Shubert Organization, by special arrangement with Cranberry Productions, have announced that SHEAR MADNESS will begin its second year as New York's favorite comedy whodunit on Friday, November 11th. 

Just announced, Tony and Drama Desk Award winner Cady Huffman will end her run in Off-Broadway's Shear Madness on August 21st. Cady assumed the role of Mrs. Shubert June 20th. She will be replaced by Lisa McMillan. Also joining the cast is Gil Brady replacing Adam Gerber in the role of Eddie Lawrence. The producers are have also announced a new batch of tickets on sale through January 8th, 2017.

Audiences and critics are loving Shear Madness! Many dates are already full, so due to popular demand, Stages Repertory Theatre is thrilled to announce FOUR MORE WEEKS of performances.

Johnson, Jack Lane, Radio Mouse Entertainment, Schaffert/Hummel, Driemeyer-Sills Productions, Michael Guccione, David Gersten, Erach Screwvala, and The Shubert Organization, by special arrangement with Cranberry Productions, are proud to welcome Celeste Oliva to the cast of SHEAR MADNESS.  She replaces Kate Middleton in the role of Barbara beginning tonight (Wednesday July 20th), joining Tony and Drama Desk Award Winner Cady Huffman along with Jordan Ahnquist, Adam Gerber,  Patrick Noonan, and Jonathan Randell Silver.

Stages Repertory Theatre's creation of this SHEAR MADNESS is buoyed by an outstanding cast that handles comedy and improvisation with ease. The six actors onstage are quick on their feet, and so funny they can break each other up in many instances as the story unfolds.

Shear Madness, the hit comedy whodunit, resumes performances at the Davenport Theatre (354 West 45th Street) tonight, Friday July 15th.

Now BroadwayWorld can report that Adam Gerber, who created the role of 'Mike Thomas' in the off-Broadway play, will step into Kushnier's part; previews for PARAMOUR begin April 16 on Broadway.
