After taking the entertainment world by storm in his breakout role as 'Fonzie' in the popular sitcom 'Happy Days' (1975-85), Henry Winkler established himself as an award-winning producer and director, mixing in a few well-placed acting roles like Scream and Waterboy along the way. Winkler now joins a standout roster of celebrities set to attend next month's Wizard World Comic Con Portland, April 13-15 at the Oregon Convention Center, where he will greet fans, pose for photo ops, sign autographs and conduct an entertaining fan Q&A session. Perhaps best known for roles as Captain Jack Harkness from Doctor Who/Torchwood and Malcolm Merlyn in the hit series Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow, popular guest John Barrowman will make a triumphant return to Wizard World Comic Con at upcoming shows in St. Louis (February 3-4) and Cleveland (March 3-4). Barrowman will greet fans, sign autographs, pose for photo ops and conduct an interactive Q&A session during the pop culture extravaganzas in both cities.

In January 2018, the San Diego Symphony will hold its third annual festival and will explore the world of rhythm, sound and place through percussion in a month-long celebration entitled "It's About Time," which is curated by percussionist, conductor, author and University of California San Diego professor Steven Schick. Working with several of San Diego's performing arts organizations, the festival is about the myriad of ways percussion music connects us to the world and to nature. Planning is underway for the festival to move beyond the concert hall including an outdoor performance at the US/Mexico border of John Luther Adams's Inuksuit.
