Produced by Randie Levine-Miller. the event featured Len Cariou, Jim Brochu, Tom D'Angelo, Martin Vidnovic, John De Marco, Myles Savage, and Sal Viviano, with musical direction by Paul Chamlin.
Liz Lark Brown Wins '2009 METROSTAR TALENT CHALLENGE'

On Monday August 31, Liz Lark Brown eked out a win in the exciting finale of the second annual 'MetroStar Talent Challenge' at The Metropolitan Room, beating out Danielle Grabianowski (the first runner-up) and Carole Bufford, who was chosen as the second runner-up. Brown, who, in a sweet twist of fate, was last year's grand prize winner Anne Steele's back-up singer, combined both understated charm and a flair for the dramatic that earned consistently high marks during the eight-week jury and audience-voted singers' competition. The two other finalists, who went head to head against the three top ladies, were the competition's highest-achieving men, Cornelius Bates, and David Gurland.

For most of the 20th century, well before the dawn of the digital age, radio was the primary channel for popular music of every kind. More than just a means to transmit sound on a wave to remote locations, radio created an intimate entertainment experience, a fraternal atmosphere wherein the music and everyone associated with it became a friend to the listener.

Matthew Bourne's stage adaption of EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, produced by New Adventures, will make its first return to the United Kingdom since its original 2005 London premiere, following a world tour. At the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris through November 2, the production will return to England, making stops at the Hippodrome Theatre in Birmingham, Lowry Theatre in Salford and New Wimbledon Theatre in London before returning to its original home at London's Sadler's Wells Theatre, where it will begin performances on December 2.
