Donna Hanover and Colman Domingo hosted a luncheon yesterday, June 9 at the National Arts Club. A benefit for the Vineyard Theatre's artistic and education programs, playwright Branden Jacobs Jenkins was presented with the Vineyard Theatre's 4th annual Paula Vogel Playwriting Award, given each year to a gifted emerging playwright. The Cape Cod Theatre Project has announced casting for its reading of Nilo Cruz's THE COLOR OF DESIRE, which will run from July 15 to July 17. The reading will be directed by Carey Perloff, and the cast will include Grant Shaud, Scott Cohen, Alma Cuervo, Betsy Aidem, Maria Cellario, Jesse Perez, Shirley Rumierk and Rey Lucas.

The Tony Award-winning actor BILLY CRUDUP will star in the world-premiere of Adam Rapp's play THE METAL CHILDREN, which begins previewed May 4 prior to opening May 19, 2010 at the Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.), it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, Artistic Director of the Vineyard. Directed by Adam Rapp, additional casting for the play is to be announced.

Primary Stages closed its celebratory 25th Anniversary Season by proudly announcing the naming of its School of Theater in honor of founding board members Marvin and Anne Einhorn last week on April 16. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the ceremony. The school will now be officially known as Primary Stages Marvin and Anne Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA). Twenty-five years after helping to found Primary Stages, Marvin and Anne Einhorn continue to serve the theater company and still report to duty each day at the Primary Stages office. They personify the renowned theater company's fierce and unwavering commitment to producing exciting work Off-Broadway.
