Executive Producer Hugh Hallinan and Artistic Director Bert Bernardi have announced the Downtown Cabaret Theatre Children's Company 2009-10 season. This marks the twenty-eighth season for the award-winning resident musical theatre company located in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Executive Producer Hugh Hallinan and The Downtown Cabaret Theater Children's Company, the award-winning resident musical theatre for young audiences and families opens its new musical THE LITTLE MERMAID-A-GO-GO on Saturday, April 11th in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

The Downtown Cabaret Theatre Children's Company debuts its new musical, 'THE THREE LITTLE PIGS' on Saturday, February 28th. The tuner plays the acclaimed theatre for young audiences and families through April 5th.

'The Adventures of the Dish and the Spoon,' a new musical based on the award-winning book by Mini Grey makes its premiere at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, Connecticut on Januaray 17 and plays through February 22nd. The new musical is written by Bert Bernardi (book and lyrics) and Scott Simonelli (music). Based on Mini Grey's book, 'The Adventure of the Dish and the Spoon' picks up where the nursery rhyme leaves off. The Dish runs away with the Spoon on an adventure that spans twenty five years. The pair arrive in New York City at the beginning of the great depression. They enjoy fortune and fame, before their celebrity forces them into a darker world of borrowing and thievery and the consequences that follow. The wild rollercoaster ride that Dish and Spoon enjoy is peppered with musical styles of the twenties and thirties. Featured in the cast are Maria Vee, Marc Guerrette, Bert Bernardi (who is the Artistic Director), Jimmy Johansmeyer, Mary Mannix and Krissy Dorn. 'The Adventures of the Dish and the Spoon' features lighting by Hugh Hallinan, settings by Delmar, costumes by Jimmy Johansmeyer, technical direction by Steve Swatt, and stage management by Phill Hill. 'The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus,' a new musical based on the book by L. Frank Baum ('The Wizard of Oz') opens at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, Connecticut on Saturday, November 15, 2008 and will play through December 28th.

A new musical based on Elise Primavera's New York Times Best-selling Book Auntie Claus is set to open at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The show will open November 17 and play through December 30.
