Disney's landmark musical event, The Lion King, celebrates 15 years on Broadway Tuesday, November 13th at the Minskoff Theatre (200 West 45th Street, New York City). Virtually the entire creative team, who collectively won six Tony® Awards for their work on the show, will reunite for a one-night only celebratory performance Sunday, November 18th as a benefit for The Actors Fund. Jacobs, who most recently starred in the title role of the world premiere of Aladdin at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, previously played the role of Simba on national tour. Ben Jeffrey, who is currently starring on Broadway as Pumba the Warthog in the Lion King, is visiting the KC area briefly and will be doing master acting classes and a public performace as a benefit for Calvary Bible College performing arts scholarships. Everyone who takes the master classes will perform in 'Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat' with Ben at the public performance on Monday evening, January 24. Other extremely talented Calvary staff will be handling the vocal and dance master class segments.
