BeBe Zahara Benet Premieres QUEENDOM, 5/26-27
by BWW News Desk - May 26, 2011

BeBe Zahara Benet, winner of Season One of RuPaul's Drag Race, presents her new autobiographical drag spectacular Queendom. To be held at The Tank on Thursday May 26th at 9:30pm and Friday May 27th at 7:30pm. Press is invited to both performances. Combining both the African customs of BeBe's upbringing, and the ritualistic traditions of drag performance, Queendom weaves a spiritual story of the search for oneself. BeBe Zahara Benet, born Marshall Kudi Ngwa, hails from the West African Republic of Cameroon. Recognized as the inaugural winner of the title "America's Next Drag Superstar", from season one of RuPaul's Drag Race, Bebe's mastery as a drag artist is impeccable. She delights audiences both Nationally and Internationally by bringing a strong, bold, beautiful and entertaining character that honors and respects the feminine persona.
