Jazz/pop vocalist/trombonist Aubrey Logan announced today the release of her anticipated sophomore album Where The Sunshine is Expensive. Set to release on March 22nd on Resonance Records, Where The Sunshine Is Expensive is essentially a love letter to her adopted hometown of Los Angeles. Logan unveiled the first taste of the upcoming album with the lead single 'Understand,' Logan's tongue in cheek take on honesty in the city of sunshine.

Televangelists Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, hosts of the popular religious talk show 'PTL (Praise The Lord) Club' and founders of the Christian-themed park Heritage USA, became notorious after Jim was found at the center of outrageous sex and financial fraud scandals. Now, over 30 years after the demise of their religious empire, '20/20' re-examines exactly what transpired at their television studios and theme park, featuring new interviews with those who knew Jim and Tammy Faye well and previously unaired footage from the ABC News archives. '20/20' airs Friday, Jan. 18 (9:00 - 11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. 

The Broadway-bound production of BeBe Winans' new autobiographical musical BORN FOR THIS, releases its first-ever music video of the title song, starring Donald Webber, Jr., who is set to depict Winans when BORN FOR THIS comes to Broadway (theatre and dates TBA).  Mr. Winans makes a cameo appearance in the music video, as well.

The former president, best-selling author and Nobel Peace-Prize winner Barack Obama debuted on Billboard's Hot R&B Songs chart at number 22 alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda with their song “One Last Time (44 Remix),” according to Entertainment Weekly.

The Recording Academy, AEG Ehrlich Ventures, Clive Davis, and CBS will pay tribute to the legendary career of 18-time GRAMMY®winner and 2008 MusiCares® Person of the Year honoree Aretha Franklin by presenting 'Aretha! This week, Broadway Dreams and The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization hosted the 70th Anniversary gala concert celebration of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize Award-winning musical triumph, South Pacific. 

Broadway Dreams and The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization announced today that two-time Grammy Award-winner Isabel Leonard, Broadway vet Eden Espinosa, and Tony Award nominee Erin Dilly will join the cast of the previously announced 70th Anniversary gala concert celebration of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize Award-winning musical triumph, South Pacific. The evening will take place on Monday, December 10, 2018 at The St. Regis New York (2 E 55th Street) and will serve as a fundraiser for Broadway Dreams, a not-for-profit performing arts training organization with global reach. Tickets for the event start at $1,000 and can be purchased at broadwaydreams.org/event-tickets.

Network officially opened last night at Broadway's Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street). The play is directed by Tony and Olivier Award winner Ivo van Hove (The Damned), adapted by Tony and Olivier Award winner Lee Hall (Billy Elliot) and based on the Academy Award-winning film by Paddy Chayefsky. getTV, “Where America Celebrates Christmas,” kicks off its annual “Most Wonderful Month of the Year” holiday programming campaign beginning Thanksgiving weekend, including the network's second annual original holiday special, “The Soul & Spirit of Christmas,” premiering Friday, November 23 at 8PM ET.  Taped in Nashville, the show's musical talent includes 13-time Grammy winner and best-selling female gospel artist of all time CeCe Winans, six-time Grammy winner BeBe Winans, Grammy nominees Anthony Hamilton & the HamilTones, 10-time Grammy winner and the most awarded a capella group in history Take 6, gospel chart topper Koryn Hawthorne and gospel and R&B songstress Kyla Jade.

After an extraordinarily successful year with the release of their #1 Billboard Contemporary Jazz album ICONIC and a world tour, Take 6 is capping off the year on a high note with four nights at the Blue Note in NYC (Nov. 8-11), a Friar's Club Billy Crystal tribute on November 13 at the Ziegfield Ballroom which they will be opening (additional performers/attendees include Bette Midler, Robert DeNiro, Alec Baldwin, Katie Couric, Meg Ryan, Martin Scorcese,  to name a few) and a Christmas special they participated in with Bebe Winans and Cece Winans, Anthony Hamilton, and others. "The Soul & Spirit of Christmas" will air on GetTV on November 23 at 8pm EST. They will end the year with additional tour dates in Europe (dates below.)

BeBe Winans just presented the Broadway-bound musical BORN FOR THIS as a one-night-only concert at Feinstein's/54 Below (254 W. 54 St). Sharing the stage with Winans was director Charles Randolph-Wright (Motown), legendary Grammy and American Music Award winning recording artist Stephanie Mills, and members of the cast from last summer's pre-Broadway tryout in Boston including Maddie Shea Baldwin (Bright Star), Liisi LaFontaine(Dreamgirls), Loren Lott (Once on this Island), Donald Webber Jr. (Hamilton), Kirsten Wyatt (Annie), and Nita Whitaker (Ragtime). The evening introduced the BORN FOR THIS story and some of the original songs from the Broadway aimed musical, which also played regional engagements in Atlanta, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles.
