The League of Professional Theatre Women will present its annual Theatre Women Awards on March 27th from 1 to 3 p.m., at a Midtown Manhattan location to be announced. 

Parity Productions, the New York based theatre company dedicated to producing new work by women, trans, and gender-expansive playwrights has opened applications for playwrights to the 2023 Parity Development Award, formerly known as the Parity Annual Commission.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will ring in 2023 with the West Coast Premiere of Ali Viterbi’s In Every Generation. This celebration of Jewish tradition, following one family through four millennia of Passover dinners, past, present, and future, was the winner of the National Jewish Playwriting Contest. 

Two-time Academy Award nominee and Tony Award nominee Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road, The Shape of Water) and Sophia Lillis (It, Dungeons & Dragons) will star in a reading of the new play We Will Not Be Silent by David Meyers.

Mike Birbiglia: The Old Man & the Pool will extend its Broadway engagement due to popular demand.

The Dramatists Guild of America is presenting season four of The Dramatists Guild Presents: TALKBACK. The Guild celebrates writers from a diverse array of backgrounds and how they’ve built meaningful careers within a constantly evolving industry. Mary Niederkorn's shattering solo show about parental abuse and its aftermath, Thank You for Trying to Make Me a Better Person, makes NYC premiere at United Solo's 2022 festival.  

Spinning the Bottle, a new play by James Hindman will receive a private industry reading in New York City on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 5 PM. Presented by Michael Borges and Scott Rehl, in association with CinèTheatrix, and directed by Alan Souza, the reading will feature Dana Brooke, Biko Eisen-Martin, Darius Rose, and Robbie Simpson.

The world premiere of Smile opens IAMA’s 15th anniversary season on November 12 at Atwater Village Theatre, where performances continue through December 5. Low-priced previews begin November 10.

After a successful run with Kervigo Ensemble Theater in October of 2021, My Shiksa Boyfriend, directed by Christine Cirker, returns to the New York City stage! Written and performed by Arielle Beth Klein, this solo play will be going up Off Broadway at Theater Row on October 23rd at 7pm the United Solo Theater Festival.

The Road Theatre Company and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, announce the first show of its 2022-2023Season, a world premiere comedy, ACCORDING TO THE CHORUS, written by Arlene Hutton (The Nibroc Trilogy) and directed by Emily Chase. It will begin previews on October 18.

Flux Theatre Ensemble will present the World Premiere of Metra: A Climate Revolution Play with Songs, a speculative mytho-musical drama written by Emily and Ned Hartford with songs by Ned Hartford, directed by Emily Hartford.

Yonder Window Theatre Company and  Executive Producer Lisa Dozier are presenting the World premiere of Grant MacDermott’s play JASPER off-Broadway, directed by Katie McHugh. Performances will begin on September 8.
