Regent's Park Open Air Theatre Announce Creative Teams For ROMEO AND JULIET and CAROUSEL

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre have today confirmed the lead creatives for Romeo and Juliet and Carousel, which play during their 2020 season. Creating Romeo and Juliet (27 June a?" 25 July), director Kimberley Sykes is joined by Naomi Dawson (designer), Shelley Maxwell (movement director), Lee Curran (lighting designer) and Giles Thomas (sound designer and composer). Joining the already announced director Timothy Sheader and choreographer Drew McOnie to create Carousel (31 July a?" 19 September) are Tom Scutt (set and costume designer), Tom Deering (musical supervisor), Aideen Malone (lighting designer) and Nick Lidster for Autograph (sound designer).

Regent's Park Theatre have today confirmed full casting for their production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar. The production played two sell-out seasons at the Open Air Theatre, winning both the Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival and Evening Standard Award for Best Musical, before transferring to the Lyric Opera of Chicago in 2018. It will embark on a North American tour from October.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre have today confirmed the full Creative Team behind Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Our Town. Launching their 2019 season on 16 May, designer Rosie Elnile joins the already announced director, Ellen McDougall. Also confirmed are Sasha Milavic Davies (Movement Director), Orlando Gough (Composer), Lizzie Powell (Lighting Designer), Tom Gibbons (Sound Designer) and David Ridley (Musical Director). Casting is by Jacob Sparrow and Barbara Houseman is Season Associate Director (Voice and Text).

A 2016/17 Scottish Opera Emerging Artist, credits include The Elixir of Love, and The Trial with other credits including Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Mananan International Festival), Paul Bunyan (Welsh National Youth Opera) and Eugene Onegin (Garsington Opera). He is currently singing in The Barber of Seville with the Theatre des Champs-Elysees.
